A New Season of Exploration

Several weeks ago, I saw the film "Where the Wild Things Are" based on the children's book by Maurice Sendak. I have to admit that I enjoyed it: first, the monsters looked cool. I'd like to have that as my Halloween costume for 2010. Second, it is okay to imagine. It is okay to feel something. Third, conflicts can be good for the soul.

One of the issues I have been working with a few people is the problem of apathy and passivity. The muted voices of so-called authority figures present for us several problems. They dare not speak about the dark, the emotional, the complicated because of cowardice? Or is it about their unresolved issues? But the focus here is not about their issues, it is about the lack of passion in the lives of certain individuals.

When did ANGER become such a bad emotion? And why is anger equated with bad? Is there such a thing as a bad feeling?

Perhaps, one could sit in the middle of their room and allow their emotions to surface once in a while.
